To find out the most common non-sex toys people use for masturbation, Superdrug Online Doctor conducted a survey of 900 men and women. This is how men ranked the items researchers asked about:
- Pillows (21 percent)
- Shower heads (19 percent)
- Fruits or vegetables (19 percent)
- Candles (14 percent)
- Hair brushes (11 percent)
- Pens or markers (10 percent)
- Toothbrushes (8 percent)
- Mattresses (8 percent)
- Blankets (8 percent)
- Tool handles (6 percent)
- Beer or wine bottles (5 percent)
- Toilet plungers (4 percent)
- Makeup items (3 percent)
- Remote controls (3 percent)
