The Ratings Report

So, now that you’ve rated some places you frequent as honestly as you can for the benefit of family, friends, and neighbors, how do you see what you’ve rated or even what others are rating?

Two ways to view ratings: Home page and Ratings page

On the Home page, as we’ve discussed, you have to search for the entity you’re interested in, and it then shows you all available ratings within all categories that the entity has been rated on.

The Ratings page, on the other hand, requires no search, and currently gives you two types of reports: My Ratings and Recent Ratings.

Currently, as shown in the image above, the My Ratings tab shows you everything you’ve rated, including those with your own created criteria, if any. If you rated something multiple times using the same criteria, you’ll just see the latest one. For obvious reasons, you’d have to be signed in to see any data in this tab.

The Recent Ratings tab, on the other hand, shows all ratings by everyone and thus needs no authentication. The ratings here are also aggregated at all three levels: criteria, category, and entity. We will be adding some filters here shortly as data volume increases.

In the next article, I’ll dive into some philosophy, and elaborate from a vendor’s perspective. Could this ratings implementation model help vendors produce better products, provide better service? Until then, feel free to go rate something. Let your friends and neighbors know how you feel about places that might be of interest to them. Also, please let us know how you feel about this rating concept.
