ACQ lay in the middle of the kitchen floor. He was out cold.
The box chuckled.
“That was unusual and unexpected. Getting him to trip on the chair, hit his head on the counter, and knock himself out. I should have mentioned that, once he loses consciousness, when he comes around, your powers will be gone.
And with that, our adventure is coming to an end.”
“An end? I was just getting into the swing of things.”
“With ACQ knocked out, when the delivery driver comes, you’ll need to answer the door and hand me over. Obviously, you can’t be in when that happens.”
“Why can’t we just leave?”
“I’ve been trying to infiltrate Amajon for years. I’m not giving up the chance. Across the road, down the street, there’s a bus. It will get you home.”
The bus pulled up. Every passenger had a box next to them. The driver looked me in the eye.
“Where is your box? Do you have a box?”
“A box? It’s gone… to infiltrate Amajon?”
