SIMPLIFYING TECH: WWDC 2017
On June 5, 2017, Apple made six main announcements during their three hour keynote:
1 ) TV OS
New UI, now supports Amazon Prime video.
2) WATCH OS4
New watchfaces, minor improvements, better workout apps, monthly fitness challenges, new flashlight, native core bluetooth.
3) MAC OS HIGH SIERRA
Improvement on Sierra, new photo app filters, support for VR and external GPUs, autoplay blocking and intelligent tracking prevention.
4) HOMEPOD
Competition for Amazon’s Alexa, omnidirectional audio, premium Hi-Fi speaker, Siri integration, automatically tunes itself, ability to send iMessages, smarthome hub.
5) iOS 11
Visual refresh, more colorful, iMessage in iCloud, ApplePay between people in iMessage, high efficiency image format, new image processing, Siri has new voice/male voice, Siri can also translate, redesigned control center, improvements to Apple Maps, improvements to iPad with more productivity updates.
6) NEW MACS
New iMacPro, new MacBooks, new MacBook Pros, brighter displayers, default fusion drives, faster RAM, more RAM, more USB Type-C ports.
