Two for the Price of One
Six Word Photo Story Challenge: Freestyle
It’s a swing, AND it’s food!
What if the birdies don’t like it?
COVID was wreaking havoc on supply chains. Thousands of workers were off sick, from factories to transport. The gaps in the shopping aisles were alarming.
I was on a hunt and gather mission. Food for us, food for the puppies and food for the birdies.
I had everything I needed (well, everything I could get my hands on and a few alternatives). All I needed now was something for the birdies. But instead of blocks of sunflower seed, there was a gaping hole on the shelf.
Sure, they’re wild birds. But it’s not fair to stop feeding them without warning. Our house has become a part of their supply chain. They don’t understand logistical issues. So I chose something different.
As you can see, it turns out I needn’t have worried. This new “deluxe seed block’’ comes with a bonus — there’s nothing like sitting on your food as you munch away.
I guess a change is as good as a holiday.
