Hello friends! It’s been quite a while since I wrote something. Actually, I have been busy with work and collecting the best resources to share with you all.

Designing for mobile is evolving quickly, and every designer wants to try his/her hands on it, but don’t know, how to start on the project. I will be sharing quick ready reckoner for both Android and iOS. Starting with Android.

If you are new to this awesome design tool called Sketch, then check out my previous post covering all .

Design Tool — Sketch 3 Ready Reckoner

Based on designing in SKETCH for last 2 years, I have made very refined process to follow, while designing for ANDROID devices. Firstly, start following Sketch bible http://www.sketchappsources.com/

As you know, there are millions of android devices/screens for which you are designing, how you can make sure all your designs render perfectly.

So, I recommend design @1x, which means you don’t have to worry about so many screen sizes and up scaling of assets can be handled by SKETCH perfectly.

I am also listing out few more resources which can be used to design for Android devices.

1. Google Material Icons

2. Google Device Metrics

3. Google Material Colour Palette

4. Mobile layout templates

5. Google — Roboto & Noto fonts

6. Invision — Craft Plugin

One of the best thing has happened to SKETCH after introducing CRAFT PLUGLIN — It saves hell amount of production time.

Friends hope this will help to start designing for android devices.
