Beyond the Steel Horizon
We are in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania 1999. I am eleven. My fingers curl over the glass of the window in the backseat of my mom’s Volvo. The wind of the car’s speed blows into my face, and in its rush, I lose my breath.
