Glitter Beards
Apparently men have found a use for glitter! Glitter beards made their appearance on Instagram during the holiday season of 2014. Their functionality is a bit questionable since glitter is known to go EVERYWHERE. (Good luck trying to eat anything!)
Glitter Roots
Ladies also have a new use for glitter with the emergence of glitter roots. Many times this look is paired with candy colored hair. It looks pretty itchy, but if you’re really dedicated to the aesthetic then you’re probably willing to compromise.
Colored Armpit Hair
Whether it’s an act of feminism and defiance or done on a whim, colored armpits have made their mark. Many women joined in on the trend, including 17 year old Destiny Moreno. She even posted a video on YouTube about her experience.
Brightly Colored Beards
The men must have been inspired by the ladies dying more than just the hair on their heads… This trend is often called the “merman” look, when paired with brightly colored hair. If you’re going to dye your beard, why not dye your hair too?!
Bubble Nails
Extremely unnecessary and most likely unhygienic, bubble nails are an odd trend that surfaced in 2015. Why do you want them? What purpose do they serve? Who knows! Lindsey Metrus from Buzzfeed recently published an article about the trend and included pictures found on Instagram.
Spider Mascara
It was once a rookie mistake to have clumpy mascara, but it seems as though runway fashion has adopted the look and named the trend “spider lashes.” When it comes to fashion designers, anything goes. So next time you’re in a rush and don’t have time to make your mascara neat and tidy, there’s no need to worry. You’ll be sporting the high-fashion runway spider lashes.
