Carl’s Jr fast food in Istanbul…what has the world come to?
Carl’s Jr American/Texas fast food in Istanbul…what has the world come to?

After leaving the Turkish Airlines Business Lounge, I headed back through the small city worth of shops and restaurants at the Istanbul main international terminal, it is absolutely huge! There are even some familiar US fast food options…I am not proud of that…But there are also lots of other options from around the world, and a few ‘local’ shops.

Starbucks at the Istanbul airport terminal
At least Starbucks has a bit of class, if not always the best coffee option, at least it’s consistent

I grabbed a coffee on the way to the gate, though I did have to wait in line, since I was not able to pre-order through the app like I would in the US and some other countries. The boarding process at the gate was uneventful and soon we were on the plane getting settled.

Storage box for the business class seats
Plenty of storage for your carry-on, if a bit difficult to get into during the flight

The business class seats were the same as the plane two weeks before. I love the big boxes for storage, however, one bothersome aspect of these particular boxes is the complicated latch and the lid. The box is so far away you cannot reach it from the seat, you must stand up and walk over to it. Then you need to fiddle with the latch to get it…
