SkyLaunch is Powering Up
SkyLaunch welcomes huge new names to the team and group as we head towards our own IDO and launch
The SkyLaunch project is picking up a bit of speed again following what we have to say was a pretty successful beta test. Yes, there were a few bugs found, as expected, and I have to say we had some great creative minds in our tester squad following some brilliant design and UI feedback!
The tech side is not the only area we are building and developing as we head towards a crucial period on our roadmap, with some incredible new additions to the team over the last few weeks. Adding to the powerhouse line up we covered in our core team article back in November 2021, we have brought in some serious names, offering tremendous experience in multiple areas, to help fire SkyLaunch to where we want to be.
Let’s take a look at our new recruits and the experience they bring!
Ivan Ripamonti - Investment Manager
Will undertake project sourcing for investment, incubation or IDO
Ivan’s resume speaks for itself, showing top level experience in investment management and many other key areas. Ivan oversaw due diligence, portfolio management and private equity deals successfully at Iconic Holding GmbH for 3 years, which became a key factor in bringing him on board.
Prior to this, as COO and Head of Research at Konfidio UG and Kintaro Capital, Ivan managed a financial analysts team as well as co-founding a private investment fund regulated my the MFSA.
John Park - Investment Manager
Will undertake project sourcing for investment, incubation or IDO
John arrives with huge experience, having led the venture investment at SparkLabs and venture building business. John helped in building two startups and raised over US 10M for their seed round. Other notable roles include CEO of Lifestyle Division at Al Ahli Holding Group, Business Development at Memebox and Corporate Strategic Planning at SK Holdings C&C.
Within these roles, John has shown immense talent in business development, technology assessment and market adoption strategy. He is also an active startup advocate and angel investor with investments in blockchain, cloud and digital media.
John graduated with distinction from University of Wisconsin-Madison with degree in Business and Economics.
Rosie Hutchison — Head of Group HR
Rosie arrives with a vast array of experience, ranging through training, revenue growth, business analysis, team management and much more.
At Hays Recruitment Rosie flew up the ladder rapidly from Associate Consultant to Team Manager and then Business Manager, clear evidence of her analytical approach and dedication to her role.
Following that, as a Principal Consultant for Randstad Australia, Rosie executed effective targeted marketing campaigns to successfully grow the strategic business network, as well as delivering a consistent talent pipeline, leading internal training programmes and delivering end to end recruitment campaigns.
David Clark-Joseph- Investment Manager
Will undertake project sourcing for investment, incubation or IDO
David arrives as a man of many talents and experiences, having held prominent and successful roles — including at Kraken — in finance, investments and acquisitions, strategic planning and corporate development.
Prior to joining us, David was with Kraken Exchange in a lead mergers and acquisitions role. This role heavily focussed on dealing with NFT and web3 founders from a full lifecycle corporate development perspective.
David has held numerous prominent roles in the investment, strategy, acquisitions and integrations sectors. These include multi-million dollar acquisitions as strategy manager at NCR (Fortune 500), leading numerous successful seed stage investments at Bild Alternative Investments, and further huge-value mergers and acquisitions, deal flow analysis and the creation of a ‘deal playbook’ at Mitel Networks.
David also led finance and strategic partnerships with Kings Distributed Systems, successfully onboarding prominent partners including Magna International, Western University and LG.
Ben Brophy — Group COO
Ben brings to the table an enormous amount of experience in growth, development, thought leadership and strategy management in both the traditional finance sector and the blockchain world.
Having held high-level roles in these areas for a number of reputable companies including RBS, ENTIQ, BlockLab, NEM Group and many more, Ben has a stellar track-record of implement restructuring, team-management, and creating and implementing innovation frameworks. At BlockLab, he also generated revenues of over £2m within a 30-month period, as well as designing services principally on Ethereum protocol.
Achievements in his previous roles include designing and embedding successful innovation frameworks, managing a selection of multi-disciplined teams and implementing effective design workshops to enhance client journeys.
Furthermore, Ben has played crucial roles in successful AI tech product launches, and $1 million+ seed round raises based around innovative market entry strategies he built himself.
Ben has consistently successfully built and deployed systems, up-skilled internal sales and technical engineers on sales pipeline approach, and streamlined processes through deployment of HubSpot.
As you can see from our new additions, we’ve brought in some serious muscle in every area! We’re edging ever closer to our own launch, and to create the success that we want, we made no mistakes in hiring the very best talent available.
I should also mention, following our announcement of forming a group with Liberty Gaming, the above team members will be assisting with both projects to ensure the best chance of success on both sides. We’re leaving nothing to chance; we’re aiming for the sky!
