Scope creep is changes or uncontrolled growth in the scope of a project after its start. The same happens within your business and your role in your business. You need a way to continually assess the way you and your business interact and guard against business practices creep.

While your definition of your Good Life will stay the same in the short and medium term, it may expand in the long term as you attain life goals. While who you are will stay the same, your abilities, knowledge and experience will expand. You need a way to continually weave those changes into your business.

What is the objective?

To keep your business in line with your Owner’s Journey

Why is this important?

This facilitates the growth of your business as you grow, and it is a check to keep your roles to the ones you deliberately choose, rather than fall into.

What do you need to know to do this?

You need to track your growth and a clear definition of your roles within your business.

The Project

You will set an algorithm in place to continually assess how you and your business are working together and make appropriate changes.

You will work on what your business needs to meet the business goals you set in the next plan, this project is about making sure you hit your personal goals.

In the Small Business Academy you see how other business owners juggle their personal growth and weave it into their business. You learn examples of what business growth can look like and not all of it is about more and more. Sometimes it’s about making your business/life easier, more fun or more meaningful.

How will you you know you have succeeded with this project?

Your life will continually improve and your business will continue to grow as you do.

What is important to carry on to the next projects?

You will carry forward how you and your business interact to the best of both.

Your next exercise is here
