We cannot wait for the Sorare: MLB Marketplace to roll out on Tuesday, July 19th. Our very first Common All Star competitions start a few days after on Friday, July 22nd!

Below you will find our gameplay summary for Sorare: MLB. You can also find our complete guidelines on our Sorare: MLB Guide.

Go to sorare.com/MLB and sign up for all updates before our official launch!

Fill your lineup:

You will need seven Sorare: MLB cards in order to field a team in a competition. You’ll need to fill the following positions:

  • 1 Starting Pitcher
  • 1 Relief Pitcher
  • 1 Corner Infielder (can be a first baseman, a third baseman, or a designated hitter)
  • 1 Middle Infielder (can be a second baseman, a shortstop, or a catcher)
  • 1 Outfielder
  • 1 Extra Hitter (can be any position player)
  • 1 Flex (can be any player, from any position)

There are players that can pitch and hit. Managers need to make a decision as to which position they want the player to score points. Players can only accumulate pitching statistics or hitting statistics in a given Game Week, not both. Managers can only use one card per Game Week and only use each player once in the same lineup — even if you have two of their cards. For all details on scoring specifics please refer to the Sorare: MLB Guide.

Enter a competition:

There are two competition windows each week: Monday through Thursday and Friday through Sunday. We call each competition window a Game Week. Game Weeks start 10 minutes before the first game in that window. That means if there is an afternoon game on a Monday starting at 4:10pm ET, lineups will lock at 4:00pm ET and can no longer be changed after that time. Game Weeks end after the last game concludes. At that time, scoring is finalized and distribution of rewards begins.

All of the available competitions live in our Sorare: MLB Game Lobby which will launch on Tuesday, July 19th alongside the Marketplace. Here is a sneak peak of competitions coming this season.

For the rest of July, only our Common All Star competition will be available. This gives fans time to build their card collections ahead of other competition formats.

Starting in August, we will release more competitions that allow you to play with your newly purchased Limited, Rare, Super Rare and Unique cards. As Sorare: MLB ramps through the season, we will keep Managers updated through Game Week calendars announced across our social channels and platforms so make sure to follow @SorareMLB and @SorareSupport for all updates.

Competition eligibility requirements:

Sorare: MLB will have progressive eligibility requirements to enter competitions:

  • In our Common All Star competition, you can use any seven of your Common cards
  • You’ll start with 13 of these when you sign up for Sorare: MLB, and can win more by playing in Common All Star every Game Week
  • For Limited competitions, you’ll need a full lineup of seven Limited cards
  • Rare competitions allow Rare and Limited cards, but at least four must be Rare
  • Super Rare competitions allow Super Rare and Rare cards, but at least three must be Super Rare
  • Unique competitions allow Unique and Super Rare cards, but at least two must be Unique

In order to give fans more time to build up their collections to compete in our Limited competitions, we will allow the use of Common cards in our first Limited competitions. You will need at least four Limited cards to compete, but you can fill out the rest of your lineup with Common cards.

Every few Game Weeks, the Limited requirements will increase by one — from four, to five, to six, and eventually requiring a complete lineup of seven Limited cards by the end of the season. All the dates at which these requirements will adjust will be announced ahead of time across our social channels and platforms so make sure to follow @SorareMLB and @SorareSupport for all updates.

Scoring points:

Actions that take place in a Major League Baseball game during the Game Week have corresponding point values. As your player completes one of those actions, he earns points for your team.

Winning rewards:

Every Sorare: MLB competition offers rewards in the form of new player cards — making each Game Week an opportunity to play and grow your collection!

Each competition provides the opportunity to win a reward, but the quality of that reward changes based on the competition and based on your team’s performance: the higher your score, the stronger the player you’ll win as a reward! Available rewards are specified before the competition begins.

Check out the Sorare: MLB — Card Populations, Rewards & Auction Specifics blog for more details on rewards, and make sure to check back in the Sorare: MLB Lobby after a Game Week ends to see what card you’ve added to your collection!
