“That’s how you learn to live: you cry, you ache, you hurt, you can’t breathe. That’s how you move forward by feeling it all” — Kayil York.

The sundial pours sand. Time.
Tickling down through the ridge
To reach the big round bulb.

Like we wriggle through the
rigours of pain,
To reach the world of sun.
The shine. The brilliance.

If sun had a regulator knob,
We could make use on certain
untimely moments,
But it is in nature to dim its shine
For moon to dance, stars to sing,

My star counting window has
curtains of cloud,
Eyes treading through layers to
catch the twinkles —
Rainbow spreading mind and
the tedium of cherry picking,

For I wanted to write yesterday,
And now today is yesterday .

The clock ticks,
Words try to form,
And flow in the river of eternity
Just like time,
Like small waves holding hands
In search of an ocean,
Shimmering by the day,
Soothed by the night,

Boasting a sip from a lazy cup —
Indolent winter unpins hair,
Forming sine curve with the
flowing breeze,

t-o-p-e-y-r put to barbecue,
Simmering on charcoal,
Warmed by the ablaze beneath,
Slow unearthing of the sizzling
verse,
On the verge of being created

A brush of butter.A gush of wind.
But ashes are yet to fly…..

Why do we complain of our
Urban strife
When we find cacophonous silence
of the ancient so jarring ?!

Winter Cafe: “Strength shows not only in the ability to persist, but the ability to start over” — Anonymous

A non-writing/reading-ly busy weekend/days leading to scrambling for words. But it was almost time and this is what I could conjure.
Fifteen days to end the year, a good lot of year roundups in mind — — hope I get them done by 2022🙃

A think-worthy existential story told through a bowl of rice by Fallonwalker in Marsden Gentrys Finest Meal.

Story of debilitation told with power words by Maria Hernandez in A Never Ending Trap.

A wintry bye from Soul Bay. Thank you for chipping in even for un finished verses !
Leaving with Chirag Katty and what he does best — stringing his Sitar for a composition he has named “Inspiration”:
