How to save time adding transactions

1. Bank connection

The ultimate time saver is actually not to add your transactions manually at all. With Spendee you can connect your bank account and have your transactions imported automatically. Not only that you save time, but you will also make sure that you won’t forget any of your spendings.

2. Import

Importing your transactions can be helpful when you starting with Spendee. It is a good idea to import your expenses from Excel or from a different app. Also, if your bank is not available in Spendee, you can import your bank statements to get your expense transaction to Spendee in few clicks.

How to use the import feature?

The import feature is currently available from Spendee web-app. Open selected wallet, click on “Import” button and upload .xls, .xlsx or .csv file. You have to make sure to include the date, transaction category and the amount.

3. Scheduled transaction

Do you have an expense that you pay every month? Is it a rent, an internet bill or insurance? Add those transactions into Spendee in the beginning and set a repeating rule to them. Then, you won’t have to think about them anymore.

To set a recurring transaction, first, add your transaction — select category and amount and then scroll down on the same screen to set a frequency of repeating.

4. Widget on Android

In Spendee, you can set up 2 widgets. One is to instantly see your overview, the second one is to add the most frequent transactions.

The wallet overview widget gives you a quick snapshot of your expenses every time you open your phone, you don’t even need to open Spendee. The second widget helps you to faster add most frequent transactions, such as lunch or groceries and saves you some extra time.

5. Shortcut on iOS

Shortcuts on iOS are a powerful tool to use icon shortcut or Siri shortcut with Spendee. Thanks to this functionality you can quickly add transactions without a need to open your app. Follow this guide to set it up. It will take you only a few seconds.
