About
Spigot
The Little Sister of America
Note from the editor

Spigot is the youngest, inactive humor, arts, and culture magazine out there today. Think about it as The New Yorker but for people who think that TNY (as everyone calls it) hires too many “experienced” writers and humorists. Spigot is at the proper intersection of 21st century mediocrity and millennial advancement. Think of it as VoIP meets Uber, but for the young urban professional living in a pub.0 aether. Committed to nonsense, afraid of commitment, and always willing to change, We started Spigot over the summer of 2014 as a way to connect collegiate writers, artists, humorists, designers, and journalists to collaborate, showcase their work, and hopefully get hired for it. Spigot started as a senior year fear of not finding a job. Our goal is to experiment with the form and be a place where everyone is allowed to fail. You don’t need to be good to do something, you just need to want to be better. Spigot is just starting and growing and changing and right now has sections focusing on humor, arts, culture, and literature. It will probably have different and new sections as time goes on, since its ultimate goal is to be a sandbox for new ideas.
