Do Some People Have Premonitions About Their Death?
Many Incidents and First-hand Accounts Attest Signals Before Demise
Premonition means a forewarning. A feeling of anticipation over a future event.
I am not an expert in this field, however, I have a couple of first-hand assertive incidents that make me believe some people on a higher spiritual spectrum do get to know about the end of their physical journey in this world.
I am sharing a few personal true stories as I do believe in the oneness of the entire cosmos. And that we are all parts of a complete whole. Our inner consciousness at various levels tries to connect with the collective consciousness or the ONE infinite power and source of our energy to which we all are plugged.
The Last Dream
15th June 2015
My father woke up at his usual time 6:00 am. Had his cup of tea and shared his dream with me. He said, be prepared I am about to go. I brushed him off saying please do not overthink. He said he had a dream that his late mother
(my grandmother) has arrived on a train and is imploring him to hop on the train with her. According to him, he is about to end his earthly journey and start a new journey where my grandmother is waiting for him. I did not believe him and shrugged him off.
My father, a very spiritually inclined soul, passed away a couple of hours later the very same day. His words about his last dream still echo in my ears.
The Last Good-bye
2010
This is the most heart wrenching of all. My husband dropped me and our little boy ( few months old) at the Mumbai airport. I was to fly to my parent’s home to spend some time there.
As I was waiting in the lobby, he started to cry. I rocked him but he did not stop. I took him to the nursing room to pacify him. He still did not stop crying. He was a very happy and a smiling little boy otherwise. Being a first-time young mom, I did not know what to do. I tried hard to calm him down but to no avail.
At the security check, the staff did not let me check in stating there is some issue with the child. Angrily I argued, he is just an infant. Still, the airline staff refused me entry into the aircraft.
I called up my husband. He asked me not to worry and come out of the airport. He booked the flight for the next day. On the way back home, our infant boy was super happy and radiating his mesmerizing smile. No one could say this boy was howling just a few minutes ago.
Anyway, the next day as my husband dropped us at the airport, our little boy raised his full hands and waved my husband a big good-bye. Our jaws dropped as he had never done this before. No one can expect an infant to waive hand like adults.
Some days later, our son left us for his heavenly abode. My husband never gets to see him again. That was his last good-bye. Maybe the crying and the flight cancelation was all a cosmic drama to spend one more day with his father.
Coming in two days
My mother-in-law shed her physical form after a prolonged sickness. She left behind an unconsolable loving husband. If soul-mates are to be believed they were one. One day as my grief-stricken father-in-law went to offer flowers on my mother-in-law’s grave, he looked at the caretaker and said, make some space nearby, I am coming to rest in two days. And exactly after two days, left his earthly abode and was laid to rest near his beloved wife.
I am waiting for you
I was extremely close to my aunt ( father’s sister). She loved me to the moon and the back and it indeed never end. A few years back she fell ill and was bedridden. I was told she was in extreme pain and it would be a relief for her if her worldly suffering ends. There was not much left what doctors could do. Her only wish was to see her favorite niece (me) one last time. I could not travel being in the last month of a precious pregnancy after losing a son. We spoke on the phone and she told me to relax, she will wait for me. After giving birth and a little bit recovering from postpartum, I decided to visit my ailing loving aunt. I still get goosebumps thinking of her fragile frame I last saw. She hugged and blessed me and my child, emanated a beautiful smile, her hand in my hand, reposed in a sea of tranquility closed her eyes, never to open again.
It was as if she was just holding on to meet me. Once her desire was fulfilled, she safely and peacefully transcended to her heavenly journey.
All these above personal anecdotes affirm that people do get premonitions about their impending death.
The higher spiritual-self, the consciousness inside them connects to the collective consciousness of the cosmos and they sense it is now time for them to merge with their creator.
The below link explains clearly the relationship between the Creator, the source, soul and the spirit and how do they communicate.

In her book, Messages: Signs, Visits, and Premonitions from Loved Ones Lost on 9/11, Bonnie McEneaney tells the stories of 9/11 victims, would-be-victims, family, and friends, who had death premonitions. Sometime after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, it was reported that many 9/11 victims had premonitions of their impending deaths.
Suggestion
There are a plethora of stories of dreams that appear to foretell/forewarn a death. You or someone you know may have had one. However, some might be just a passing feeling of fear and anxiety.
There is a fine line between a sneaking suspicion and a veritable intuition.
We must know the demarcation for the sanity of our mind.
To understand and differentiate between the feelings of fear and signals from the cosmos, one needs to explore deeper. And this can be done via meditation. By trying to connect with the inner higher self and discerning the meaning of Spirituality. By knowing the Spiritual Secret of the inner self, it’s a connection, communication, and coherence with the One Universal Supreme power, one may be able to justify these presentiments.
If you too have something to share on this, I would love to hear it. I do believe in gut feelings and signals from the Universe.
