SevenUp Gaming was one of the early organization pickups after the French Splatoon Championships back in the first season thanks to the great run that Imperious Wolves had. Right now the team has dissolved and reformed under a new name, but during their time as SevenUp, they made a strong impression on the French scene.

Despite their many Top 8 finishes, their many bugbears included their inability to matchup highly against global teams. The new team, named Tenacity, are looking to retake their glory days as SevenUp and make a dent on the worldwide scene once again.

Of the many new NA squads mentioned before, BEt has become of the most successful of them all. Their victories in many of the low-to-mid tier events are numerous compared to their peers, with victories in New Squids City series and a second place finish behind Team S4 in the S+ division of Young Ink 6.

They have also ventured out into the higher tier events with modest results and are continuing to improve. Over time, BEt may join the ranks of teams like Neptune or quantuM as they continue their run through the North American scene.

Eclipse! was an offshoot of Neptune formed to compete in Genesis 5, where they would end up at a strong 4th place finish behind Team Olive, Legacy, and STDx. They quickly gained recognition as the strongest of the mid-tier teams in the North American scene for the short while the team lasted.

The members of the team have already moved on to other NA squads including Neptune and quantuM with promising futures. The One especially should be noted for forming several successful teams, where his future performance as captain is something to look forward to. It also should be noted that this team had the best parent cheer squad at Genesis 5.

There was a running gag in the French community about how the B team of the Stay Fresh group was stronger than the A team. However, their results caused the joke to become reality as Stay Fresh Black twice now qualified for the Top 50.

Recent developments in the Stay Fresh squad has caused them to condense into a single team. But with this concentration of talent, expect Stay Fresh to become a fearsome French foe for the time to come.

Rising Moon was once the strongest Western team in the entirety of the Splatoon scene. Unfortunately, these days there has been very few top finishes for the team outside of their French scene. This is especially surprising especially after their new roster with Chacha and Firenty proved themselves in the SqSS November 2017 event where they defeated Ethereal, Team Olive, and quantuM to take home the gold.

Since then, however, the team has barely made an appearance outside of the French region due to inactivity, and the team quietly folded. There is still hope though, as captain and flex player Binx is looking for a revival through the Squids United squad. Time will only tell if the scene will see a return of Rising Moon’s former glory days.
