Royal Inferno has had a very lowkey rise to the top of the French scene with their contemporaries with many marked improvements from Season 1. With each event they enter, the team slowly has been improving their placements time and time again. This culminated with FRST 11 where they finished second behind El Firmament.

Now the scene awaits what this team will do in the French scene having proven themselves. Their next goal, defeat the top teams of France, and maybe even make a worldwide debut.

TakeOver!’s Splatoon 2 career has been a large improvement to the previous title’s. Their run in recent months include impressive victories over Team Olive, Legacy, and Konton Knights, making TakeOver! a powerful European force to be reckoned with. Their victories over fellow mid-tier European teams came to a head at Inkopolis Cup 6 where they were able to defeat WNAN, Gagaku, and SevenUp Gaming to take the title.

For them, however, the journey still continues as they still have many tough matchups to contend with. But if there is a team who can snowball off of small victories, there are probably none better than TakeOver!.

Gagaku may very well be the unicorn of the active European scene. However, when they do stick their heads out every now and then, this young team performs hard and well. Most of their placements in Season 2 never dropped below the Top 5, with impressive results over WNAN, El Firmament, and Neptune.

This team ranks among the best of the growing German scene, and while their appearances are rare in comparison, be sure to watch them take names left and right wherever they go.

Lumonde have been a long-running Japanese squad, previously going by two thousand before renaming themselves after a popular biscuit brand. They made their debut in the Season with a strong and suprising 3rd place finish in SPCS Winter 2018 behind Libalent Calamari and Meteor. Later on, in Platinum Cup 3, they would find their revenge nice and sweet against Libalent Calamari in a strong 3–1 victory. Much of their victory was thanks to the pressure of the double Blaster composition, which has steadily been rising in use during this time.

In Finals, though, they would find their match against Meteor. Lumonde’s efforts have helped them get invited to the DAIOU League, where they will continue to fight against fellow top Japanese teams.

Yuyuudo is one of the strongest Japanese teams in the scene currently operating. And, amazingly, they are also one of the more active teams in the Japanese scene, taking multiple first place finishes across the last three months. Their crazy flexible weapon compositions allow them to basically quickly shape the meta to their liking, their current iteration favoring double sloshers/double rapid.

This team is one of many currently fighting for the top spot in the Japanese scene. As a result, their finishes in tournaments have wildly ranged. But this is more indicative of the competitive nature of Japan’s scene more than their ability.
