IT’S AWARD SEASON IN THE NBA, WITH THE 2019–20 REGULAR SEASON ALL BUT A WRAP AT THIS POINT THANKS TO CORONAVIRUS. We’ll still hope to see playoffs and maybe even a few more regular season games at some point, but it feels pretty safe to call the various award races at this point, and besides, we need some sports.

We started with the 2020 All-Sophomore Teams last week and continued with All Defense and Defensive Player of the Year. Today we’re looking at the draft class of 2017 and this year’s third-year NBA juniors.

I named All-Junior Teams last year and in 2018, with mixed reviews at best. Both Junior teams disappointed, though a smattering of players like Brandon Ingram, Jaylen Brown, and D’Angelo Russell broke out later. This year’s class is quite different, with the lead stars already making the leap, but that does give some hope that even the misses can still turn things around.

You already know names like Jayson Tatum, Ben Simmons, Bam Adebayo, and Donovan Mitchell lead the way, but which one of them is our 2020 Junior of the Year, and who else joins them on the 2020 All-Junior teams?
