NFL WEEK 2 IS IN THE BOOKS, which means we’re somehow already one-eighth of the way through the 2020 NFL season. It’s never good to overreact, but two games is a huge sample in NFL land. Two wins separate NFL lottery teams from playoff appearances, and they separate playoff contenders from potential Super Bowl berths.

Already, we’re adjusting expectations for the Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears, and Las Vegas Raiders after surprise 2–0 starts, and things are getting bleak in a hurry for the 0–2 Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and Atlanta Falcons. Two weeks ago, everyone was tied for first. Now there’s a gulf between first and last, and we’ve learned a lot along the way.

Betting favorites went 14–2 outright in Week 2, with all but the Saints and Eagles taking care of business. For all the pandemic unknowns and slew of Sunday injuries, the NFL has actually gone sort of as predicted so far. So with 16 more games in the books, what did we learn in NFL Week 2?
