Subme Governance Voting Results
We at Subme are thrilled to announce to you the results of our Governance #Proposal 1 voting.
The proposal passed with an amazing 95.91% of all votes for YES! for the token redeployment!
The voting turnover was 27 001 071.80 of the total eligible votes that were cast. 25 wallets have cast their votes of which 6 were disqualified due to the lack of the confirmation fee — we have been not able to verify whether they have voted themselves.
The rest of the results will be announced later.
Why Governance?
Our primal objective was to deliver the Subme App, a marketplace for subscriptions, to our users. While we are proud to have finally delivered the app, we understand that there were delays and some users have expressed frustration.
We believe that the community should play the most important role in our project and decide about its future. To solve the current issues while embracing the community-driven approach, we have presented to you the possible solutions to the issues we face via Governance #Proposal 1 and we have asked you whether should we or not undertake the $SUB token redeployment.
What were the rules of voting?
The Governance voting began on 24.02 at 4 PM UTC and ended on Monday (27.02) at 7 AM UTC. To participate in the voting, the voters had to own the $SUB tokens before the snapshot time (24.02 5 PM CET). 1 $SUB equaled 1 vote. The owned $SUB tokens included tokens on the participant’s wallet, tokens in the staking, and tokens locked at Subpad.
Important: for the verification process, the 1 $SUB fee had to be sent to this wallet address: 0x170A9E09Cb02508e477bD806C39fdD7Dc8374881, otherwise we could not verify that voters have voted themselves.
Summary
The $SUB contract redeployment is a first step in the direction of building the strong $SUB token value and we hope to have your support in this decision. More about our vision for 2023 you can read here.
With governance #Proposal 1 passed we have also started the Governance at Subpad. In our opinion, it is the community that should always decide about the project’s future. There will be more Proposals in the future.
