SunContract got on board with Solar Power EU. This is a game-changer for us.

SunContract story will have its next chapter take place in a city of Oktoberfest and home of BMW. On 5th of December our team will travel to Digital Solar & Storage event, which will take place under the patronage of Solar Power EU and IBESA Battery & Energy Storage. But first, some news we are really happy about: The recent security vulnerability in Parity multi-sig wallet raised many concerns and we are glad to announce, SunContract related assets are all well and unaffected.

Regarding SunConctract and Digital Solar & Storage, we can claim our team is no stranger to conferences (we also happen to be among the sponsors of this one) but Digital Solar & Storage is a rather different kettle of fish for us too. Digital Solar & Storage is no less than the first event of its kind. It will unite key European stakeholders in solar, energy storage and digitization. The event’s goal is to establish a cross-sectoral platform in areas that will shape the sectors of power, heat & transport sectors.
Basically, we hope for some really good talks there regarding small community-based solar panels, heat pumps, blockchain and bridging of the gaps between them. It would be seriously wrong to take Munich event lightly, though.

Pivotal SolarPower EU

SunContract became official partner of important European energy association SolarPower Europe

When it comes to SunContract, our vision, fusion of blockchain, and questions of decentralized energy market, SolarPower EU is crucial for us. The fact that we have successfully joined this organization is vital for SunContract due to the fact that SolarPower EU aims to shape the regulatory environment and enhance business opportunities for solar power in Europe.

What this means is SolarPower EU engages in positioning solar-based energy solutions with policymakers at the European level and through national level influence. Yep, they’d like for bureaucrats and policy makers to actually listen to all of us who are pioneering and paving new roads in the field of enabling autonomous, clean and smart energy sharing.

SolarPower EU also strives to producing thought leading energy market analysis that supports the business objectives of their members(yep, that’s us too, now) and promotes solar power to policymakers and the energy sector.

By joining SolarPower EU, our co-founder and CEO Gregor Novak also got on board of Digitalization and Solar Taskforce. Its all about fundamental transformation from the old analogue system to a fully digital network.

You can read more about their goals and capabilities here, but we can most assuredly say, SunContract really got some pivotal fresh wind into its sails.

Digital rethinking of Energy

That being said, we will not be just talking, listening and networking during Digital Solar / Storage. SunContract co-founder Gregor Novak is to say a few words about fusing of blockchain and renewables on monday. On tuesday, he will talk about the electric meeting digital during “Energy goes digital — what are the implications for solar companies?” at 9.15 am.

He’ll be accompanied by several other panelists whose’ organizations are at the tip of the spear when it comes to solar modules and intelligent energy solutions in relation to blockchain technology.

That’s it for today. It seems our career of globetrotters is far from over, thought. We are looking toward Asia these days (who isn’t?), and we have a firm plan of taking a trip there to find a few more like-minded blockchain adventurers there. When our plans ripen, we’ll bring you all up to speed about our journey.
