SuperNode Community in New York

The next stop for SuperNode Community after Singapore was New York. New York City, where many go to find success, but few actually find it. You often hear stories of actors moving to New York trying to make it big. Going to countless auditions, meeting with countless agents, trying to find that one connection that will launch their career to success.

In a similar way, funding a blockchain project goes through similarly tiresome and inefficient process of networking and pitching.

SuperNode Community aims to resolve this inefficiency by providing a platform where blockchain start-ups can go to, where VCs can get a stream of high-quality global deal flow, and lay participants can get access to vetted projects at preferential rates.

We held our New York private meet up at the Harvard Club of NYC. If you didn’t know already, our founder Bing Lin, graduated from Harvard Business School and subsequently worked in the asset management industry for over 16 years, hence our network in New York is quite strong. The people who attended were from the private equity, venture capital, and legal industries and were able to give us solid feedback about our project.

While in New York, we also had the chance to meet with Outliers, a venture capital and accelerator that works with other blockchain projects. Here, we talked about partnerships, how to onboard blockchain projects, and how the 21 SuperNodes will play a vital role in the ecosystem.

SuperNode Community with Outliers

Although we only had a few days in New York, our time was extremely well spent. Being able to gather feedback from key players in the traditional venture capital, private equity, and legal industries was extremely invaluable.

At the end of the day, in order to accelerate the adoption of blockchain technology, we need to educate and demystify how and why blockchain can change the world for the traditional players. There are already plenty of great projects tackling the supply chain, identity, and traditional payments space. For us, we are tackling the venture capital world.
