Switchyards Hits 200 Members in 2 Months!
The doors opened on The Switchyards Downtown Club only 71 days ago and we are incredibly excited to announce that we signed-up our 200th member this morning! While we are so honored that our mission has resonated with lots of people, we are even more excited about what this means overall for Atlanta.
Our vision from the very beginning for SDC was to be the best place in Atlanta to launch startups for consumers. We never wanted to be the biggest. We never wanted to be the fanciest. We simply believed that there was a much-needed consumer voice missing in the local startup conversation and that our modest space could fill that void.
Like many founders, there was only so much market research we could do prior to launch, so we put our heads down and got to work with faith that our vision would resonate. Signing-up two hundred members in two months is a very promising milestone in our journey.
However as much as today’s benchmark excites the SDC team, we think this data point is an even more powerful indication of the health and exuberance of the overall Atlanta startup ecosystem. From all that we can tell, both general coworking spaces and the three main startups hubs in town (ATV, Switchyards & TechSquare) are filling-up quickly.
Anyone involved with startups in Atlanta should be very excited and proud that Atlanta has reached a point where there can be so many successful spaces serving very different niches. Just a few years ago there were just a few facilities in Atlanta that did co-working and none were started by successful startup founders who were solely focused on creating startup winners. And now we have all this.
If you are in Atlanta and haven’t yet gotten involved in one of the startup spaces around town, it’s one of the best ways to begin getting involved in the community. Email hey@switchyards.com to schedule a tour of Switchyards. Click here to tour ATV. Click here to tour TechSquare.
Lastly, for all of those who have supported Switchyards so far, we can’t thank you enough for what you are doing to help support our little corner of the startup scene in Atlanta — building beautiful startups for consumers.
