The word of the week is ‘accelerate.’ We’re in top gear here at Sylo H.Q. as we begin the final countdown to our much-awaited main sale event…!!!

Here’s what you need to know from the week that was. Let’s go…!!

- SYLO-CENTRALITY PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED

As of Thursday, it was official — we announced our partnership with Centrality to create the decentralised future.

You can read the full release here; but the bones of it are well laid out in Centrality Co-Founder and CEO Aaron McDonald’s comments below:

“Centrality is on a mission to bring decentralised technology to consumer mass markets, Sylo is the vanguard of this mission.”

“Social applications are the centre of the consumer app universe and Sylo provides the anchor point for consumers and developers to connect amazing new experiences.”

“It’s time the world had social communication tools that respect privacy, that’s what Sylo delivers.”

Cheers Aaron, we couldn’t agree more! :)

The decentralised takeover has begun….

- SYLO BLOWS UP AT BLOCKWORKS NZ

Thursday and Friday this week saw the whole Sylo team in attendance at New Zealand’s premier blockchain event; Blockworks.

The decentralised dream-team represented — from left, Aaron McDonald of Centrality, Ben Jordan of Sylo and Kelvin of SingleSource.

Sylo Co-Founder and Product Director Ben Jordan delivered two very smooth live demos to a rapt audience of well-qualified industry professionals alongside Centrality and SingleSource.

According to Sylo Partnerships Manager Neil Morrell it was an “exciting and informative day.”

“It’s great to see so many people from everyday industries all working together to improve our way of living,” he said.

No, Sylo’s Ben Jordan is not also part of a boy-band — that’s the opening sequence on the big screen for conference day at Blockworks NZ.

“From mobility to identity, environmental to medical, there are a number of flaws in the way things are being done currently, that can be improved drastically by using Blockchain technology.”

“The takeaway point would be, ‘Don’t use blockchain for the sake of using blockchain, use it if it is going to improve on the norm.’”

Hear, hear Neil!!

Here’s a few more snaps from the event…
