Hello!

This is going to be one of my very few articles that will be written in a more personal note, and this has, obviously … a personal reason. Beside professional relation that I had for the last few years with Bit Sentinel there is also a personal relationship that I have with Andrei Avadanei, the CEO of BitSentinel. Every time I have a cyber-security related question or topic, Andrei is the first person I am calling or texting, either I have a suspicion of a security breach, an infrastructure audit or a smart contract review. I must confess it’s great to have both a friend and a specialist like Andrei around for the very simple reason that your level of confidence increases a lot. Of course, this is the reason why this article has a personal tone.

As stated in my previous post, one of the critical aspects of running a validator is the security in all its aspects (security management, risk prevention, attack recovery, attack simulations, penetration testing, etc). Even if we are focused on cyber security space and we offer the services of this nature one of the most difficult tasks is to audit our own infrastructure and review our own documentation.

In order to mitigate the risks associated we are partnering with Bit Sentinel for a complex set of services, including but not limited to: infrastructure periodical audit, documentation review, pen-testing, attack simulations, baseline controls audit and reviews and other activities whenever a specific need will be identified.

Bit Sentinel provides a wide range of services like: penetration testing, malware protection, GDPR advisory services, data recovery from cyber attacks, 0day attack security or security audit, and the penetration of the blockchain market was an important milestone starting with 2017.

Moreover, Andrei, the CEO of Bit Sentinel is the most well-known Romanian white hacker. His activity was presented during the last 9 years by all media channels in Romania (TV, print, online etc). He is certified as OSCE, OSCP and CISA.

Beside being an active adviser & shareholder in various organisations and member in different local and European initiatives, Andrei has founded DefCamp — the biggest IT security conference in Central and Eastern Europe (more than 1800+ participants from 45+ countries and 60 speakers from all over the world) and I must say that I rarely had the chance to see such a vibrant and great community as the one that was formed around DefCamp. But don’t believe me, you can join the 10th edition that will be held this year and see it for yourself :)!

In the last two years, Andrei was involved in various projects as advisor for blockchain & cybersecurity of core products, fin-tech, social networks, crypto currency exchanges etc.

Last but not least, he is also a regular speaker, mentor or judge at local and international festivals or conferences with a tech, cybersecurity or blockchain component.

No need to say that all this passion and experience that Andrei gathered along the way is fully reflected in his company’s vision and long term commitments and it is fully shared with his team.

All the above reasons make me very happy and confident that having Bit Sentinel as a partner into this journey will make it more pleasant, safe and will keep us on the right path.
