By choosing to host tea times, you’re invariably choosing to be the “type of person that would spend 2 hours with 5 strangers to talk about nothing specific” when you could be doing literally anything else ever.

There are many people that would make great Hosts that don’t make that choice. You, on the other hand, did. Similarly, most people can attend a tea time—literally anyone is welcome to join. All you need is a name and an email address. The people that do chose to be there instead of doing literally anything else (for two hours! In person!)
