STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN — NEW YORK CITY, NY
Oceans, the number one discovery and logbook app for scuba divers worldwide, closes a successful crowd funding campaign for its innovative “smart watch”-like device Oceans S1 Supersonic. The game changing dive computer features an all-wireless design, Bluetooth syncing, digital compass, silent haptic feedback and a hi-res color display. And, as a first for a wrist-worn dive computer — using soundless ultrasonic communications — the device allow divers to summon their buddies, dive master or instructor with just a tap of a button.

Jimmy Reuterwall, CEO and Co-founder: “The S1’s seamless syncing of data to the Oceans app together with its unique underwater communications feature will change the way we think of recreational scuba diving. We couldn't be more excited to make this next gen dive computer available to divers around the world.”

The campaign, that launched on Kickstarter in early February this year, sold a total of 120 devices and raised over SEK 400,000 over the course of 30 days. The S1 and its campaign received massive industry media attention, and was published in dive magazines and online publications around the world.

The Oceans S1 Supersonic will ship to backers in late summer 2019, and will be available for sale this fall.

Oceans’ ambassador Fabien Cousteau introduces the Oceans S1 Supersonic.
