Baffling new astronomical discoveries from beyond

We are entering a new era of space exploration. Some may argue we might already with a multitude of missions sent to Mars. Even if there was any doubt, the eventual lift-off of Artemis I towards the moon has put a stamp on it. So why is this significant? This shakedown mission, NASA’s first flight of a crew-capable moon ship in nearly 50 years, serves as the proving ground to see if Orion spacecraft is ready to help return astronauts to the lunar surface by 2025 under NASA’s Artemis program.

After many failed attempts due to technical glitches & bad weather, the most powerful rocket ever built by NASA took off this week. The first iteration of a series of missions is unmanned and is expected to perform exploratory work in preparation for taking astronauts back to the lunar surface.
