Temporal IPFS Updates: Kubernetes, ENS Domains, Amazon S3, Playground, Organization management
As Temporal is leading the way as the most powerful, full-featured and cost-effective Enterprise IPFS service & client, we are pleased to announce we have added a few extra tools our users have been waiting for!
Organization Management:
We have released a new version of Temporal that includes organizational billing and a white-labelling system for partner tier accounts. You will have full management access to the organization you create such as adding users, detailed user information, optional billing cycles, account status, e-mailed reports, private IPFS networks associated with your account and much more. Also, in-depth billing reports for uploads and storage costs for the specified date range. For example, if you specify 5 or 30 for the number of days, then we will get the last 5 or 30 days from when API calls are processed. This way, you stay up to date with the usage of your organization account and not have any surprises. There are a lot of other amazing features that give you the control needed to manage and be consistently up to date. For more information, you can read the API docs.
Interplanetary Playground (The Dropbox for IPFS):
We have been secretly working behind the scenes to make a better user flow so you can interact with every function IPFS has to offer at the click of a button. Significant user experience and interface upgrades, including a brand-new UI with many detailed features will be rolling out within a couple weeks. The playground is a showcase application of what you can build with Temporal, allowing you to interact with all the features of IPFS supported by our API. ENS Domains:
Bringing IPFS to ENS! We are the proud new owners of IPFStemporal.eth. We will be rolling out some potential future features such as (.IPFStemporal.eth) subdomains. If there are any ideas or features you would like Temporal to incorporate or research into, please let us know. ENS eliminates the need to copy or type long addresses. ENS offers a secure & decentralized way to address resources both on and off the blockchain using simple, human-readable names. With Temporal, you can host your IPFS website quickly a .eth domain allowing you to be Web 3.0 ready. The team over at ENS has been doing a amazing job of not only quickly becoming the leaders of blockchain domains but educating and making sure this process is a snap with some great tutorials. Amazon S3:
Temporal is on the way to being the world’s first S3 compatible IPFS client. A quick update, we have finished porting all unversioned object, bucket, & multipart upload S3 API calls for TemporalX’s S3 API prototype. With our S3 compatible API, you will be able to make any application that uses S3 to use IPFS with 0 modifications. Kubernetes:
Get ready, Temporal is currently creating a Kubernetes TemporalX stack! More on this very soon as we will be launching a full article with all the juicy details soon.
TemporalX Gateway with Support for IPLD:
A major pain point with the current IPFS gateway is no support for IPLD. TemporalX’s dev environment gateway with support for IPLD types! gatewayx.temporal.cloud /ipfs or /ipld. Supports single CID paths only for now. Accepts url argument ?ctype= to override content type of response. We will be releasing one of the most powerful gateways into the interplanetary world!
