In this article, we will share with you all the details of Ternoa’s new partnership with SubQuery, a company that specializes in on-chain data query and indexing

Ternoa, the blockchain behind NFT Time Capsules and the $CAPS token, has secured a new partnership. We have recently spoken about our partnerships with AscendEX, Apeswap and Elrond, but this time we have started working with SubQuery, a company that works with database indexing and other back-end tasks.

SubQuery states that they want totransform and query the world’s data for a web 3.0 future”. The purpose of this project is for blockchain developers to cut costs that would be allocated to employing a developer exclusively for indexing, and focus on developing their front-end instead. You might be wondering what this has to do with Ternoa, or with the different products we offer. Although this is certainly a rather technical topic, let’s try and take a look at the main benefits that come with SubQuery’s services.

A partnership that boosts our Wallet App

SubQuery works mainly by performing four tasks: first, it extracts real time data from the chain. Then, data is transformed and aggregated. Thirdly, it is saved on a database and, finally, the data is queried at any time using DApps or data from other blockchains.

But how does it all work with the Ternoa Wallet App? It’s simple: by way of SubQuery’s help, users can access data from their balance, use the app’s NFT Marketplace and even navigate through the Secret NFT website (which can be accessed at https://www.secret-nft.com/). In the words of our CTO:

“We made the choice to use SubQuery because the documentation seemed clear to us at first glance and we were not mistaken. SubQuery provides a complete environment with a docker machine which makes testing and deployment very easy. It is relatively easy to develop in this environment and to program the listening of the different events emitted by our blockchain. Congratulations also to the support which is very responsive.”

If you want to take a look at the kind of indexing tasks we are talking about, you can access the following website https://explorer.subquery.network/ and discover how this can be applied to different applications on the Polkadot chain (which, by the way, is the one that powers the Ternoa project itself).

What’s next for Ternoa’s technical capabilities?

As mentioned in previous articles, we are working on the final version of the Ternoa Wallet, so that users will have a platform available to create and run DApps that will use SubQuery indexing. In this way, it will be possible to create games or NFT art platforms. But, before that, Ternoa users should expect the launch of our mainnet.

The Ternoa project is growing really fast, so if you want to stay up to date with our latest news, stay tuned on our Twitter or Telegram accounts. Finally, don’t forget to check out our Wallet App! You can download it here for iOS or here for Android. It has been downloaded more than 20K times!
