About
The Amiskuan (ᐊᒥᐢᑯ ᐃᔨᓂ)
Canadian boreal-futurism beyond the colonial hangover
Note from the editor

The Amiskuan is a space for imagining future Canadas that are culturally richer, more sustainable, more humane, and ultimately more beautiful than anything we’ve dreamed up thus far. At some point we lost our sense of imagination in this country. It’s time to get it back. The author is a môniyâw-iyiniw (ᒨᓂᔮᐤ ᐃᔨᓂᐤ), a white Canadian who makes no claims to Indigenous ancestry or knowledge but with a deep commitment to not only honouring the original intents of our treaties, but to taking this to the next level of reconciliation, social change, and world building.
