The Quitter

Thrifty Word Challenge 50 Words #55: Undaunted

When the hardest part comes,
I perform my famous
disappearing act,

quitting jobs that
fail to inspire,

fleeing estranged family
until most take the hint,

leaving lovers at
hints of them leaving first,

leaving ideas that
it was their idea.

I even quit poetry.

Undaunted, poetry
always waits me out.
