Hey,

I just published this story.

I’ve got to attend a funeral today and it got me thinking about the importance of service — and how service gives us a feeling of purpose. If you’re a writer or creator I challenge you to develop a daily work practice. Not only is this practice fulfilling, it will help a group of folks bigger than yourself. And those feelings will expand to other areas of your life.

Try for a little bit of work every day.

Even if all you have is 15 minutes or one hour.

We never know which day is our last. Might as well live this one as full as we can, right?

In your service,

August Birch (AKA the Book Mechanic)

P.S. Here’s a link to that story once more.
