Beginner’s Guide to Bubcart

Welcome to Bubcart! We’ve created this guide to help you get your shop up and running.

Sign Up for Bubcart
If you haven’t already, sign up for Bubcart. It’s free to use!
All we need is: your business name, a valid email address, and a password.

Don’t have a business name yet? Here’s a guide to help you come up with one.

After you’ve created your account, you’ll have to verify your email by clicking a link that will be sent to your inbox. If you’re ever locked out of your account, this will help us get you back in.

List A Product
First, make sure that you’re signed in.

Click on “Sell Something” on the overview page.

Attach photos by clicking on the camera icons and selecting product photos that are your device. Once selected, these will automatically attach themselves to the listing.

Provide other details: listing name, a short description about the product, the price, flat-rate shipping that you want to charge, and how many of these products you have in stock.

That’s it! Go ahead and click “List Item” to successfully add your product to your shop.

You can preview this listing by clicking the “Actions” dropdown menu and selecting “Preview”. Please note, if you haven’t verified your email and/or financial information, this listing can only be seen by you.

Customize your Shop
To customize your shop, click “Other” in the menu (look for the gear icon).
Here you’ll be able to update your:

  • Profile picture — This should be easily recognizable by your audience, most likely your logo
  • Shop name — Here is a post to help you find a name for your business.
  • Shop URL — This is your shop’s free and secure URL provided by Bubcart
  • About section — Tell your audience about your shop. What do you sell? What makes you unique?
  • Shop Location — If you have a physical location or are planning on opening up shop somewhere. Enter a zip code, city, or a full address.
  • Email — This is where you’ll receive important Bubcart notifications and messages from guests
  • Social Accounts — Connect your social media accounts so that you can sell your stuff directly to your fans, followers, and friends!

Be sure to save any changes you make!

Preview your Shop
After saving any changes you’ve made to your shop in the previous step, go ahead and preview your shop! This is how your shop will look to guests.

Please note, if you haven’t verified your email and/or financial information, the shop can only be seen by you.

Link Your Bank Account
To open your shop to the public, we’ll need to verify your financial information for two reasons:

  1. You need to get paid for your hard-earned work!
  2. Bubcart’s financial partners use this information to help keep our platform secure for everyone

Once you’ve verified your financial information and your email address, you are able to accept orders from your Bubcart shop!

Verify Your Shop
When you verify you identity, you’ll earn a badge on your shop. Many customers look for this badge when deciding whether to purchase something from your business. To verify your identity, click “Other” in the menu (look for the gear icon) and then click “Get started” in the message asking to verify your identity.

  1. Take a picture of your ID card, driver’s license, or passport
  2. Select that picture by clicking the “Select File” button
  3. Upload the file after reviewing it

This file is sent directly to our trusted financial partner, who will review this information. The verification process can take up to 7 business days.
