This is a publication dedicated to the military experience — of, by, and for military service members, past and present; military spouses; families, friends, supporters, onlookers. We ask a lot of our military members and families, and their service comes at a high price. Some sacrifices are implicit in the oath we swear; others are far from expected. All too often, we suffer in silence. Stories go untold. The Call to Serve aims to end this silence by giving the military community a voice and a venue for their stories, to inspire resiliency, forge connections, and support one another as we answer the call to serve.
