This summer, one of our exceptional summer interns, Donovan Martin, worked with the Brand Marketing Team to spearhead the development of a well-defined approach to our company’s community involvement. Previously, the 2U team has collected cold-weather items to benefit those in need and volunteered at the Crisis Assistance Ministry in Charlotte, helping to prepare donated items before being made available to those in need. Currently, 2URewards customers can donate clothing, at no cost to them, that we then deliver to our partner organizations in Atlanta and Charlotte.

With that in mind, we wanted to build the framework for a new initiative centered around what we’re good at — saving people time so they can do what matters most. This summer, we sat down and brainstormed through how we wanted to best give back to our communities in a focused way. Together, we created 2UCommunity, our new approach to ensuring we’re responsible members of the communities we serve (and save time).

The mission for 2UCommunity is simple:

Give back to the cities we call home by partnering with organizations and identifying causes that help us enrich our customers’ lives beyond saving them time from laundry & dry cleaning.

With a new dedicated program for community involvement, we have built the framework for 2ULaundry to give time back to the community through focused campaigns and initiatives. With 2UCommunity, the team will partner with local organizations including service donations, continue to optimize our existing community partnerships, and participate in (and host) quarterly community service days in Atlanta and Charlotte. We’re excited to collectively dedicate ourselves to the communities we serve.
