Vervain” by Melissa McMasters on Flickr

Everyday is one step closer to when I’ll get to see you again

So knowing that

I rush into sleep time and time again

I look deep into my soul

To search my feelings for you

I know of these I lost control

When I was separated from you

Departed but not forgotten

You’re living your own life

Departed but not forgotten

I just I wish I could hold you at night

Or go for a beer

Even though you hate them

I just need to make things clear

Word by word, by action not simply by verbatim

If long distance is pain

I can’t imagine a life without you in it

So open up my heart, with the hands of time and pour vervain in it.
