The Bizzare Plot to Turn Hitler Into a Woman
A story of estrogen, espionage, and enemies
History is riddled with some highly inventive schemes of enemy elimination. From Hitler to Castro, some of the attempts were so bizarre and downright ridiculous that it is difficult to verify the claims.
One of the attempts by the British OSS (the Office of Strategic Services) that stand out was to inject Hitler’s food with the female sex hormone estrogen.
The plan was to feminized Hitler and make curb his aggression. Bizzare as it may sound, evidently the plan never worked.
The Plan
Führer’s sexual identity was always a matter of great historical debate; many speculations and rumors were invented and spiced up by his political enemies. Theories of Hitler having only one testicle, him being a homosexual as well as him having ‘feminine sentimentalities’ are abundant.
Based on the conjuncture that Hitler’s sexual alignment teetered on the male/female line, the British OSS devised a plan to lace Hitler’s vegetables with female sex hormones. The secretly infiltrated chemicals were supposed to enhance the ‘female side’ of the German leader.
