On Today’s Episode of The Cryptoverse…

I’m going to briefly revisit the MyCryptons Ethereum collectibles game because the developers said they are willing to make a collectible out of me. We’ll also look at Neon District which is an upcoming Roll Playing Game coming to Ethereum. AND we’ll segway into talking about a new tool I’ve just added to my bookmarks which shows the top apps and their usage on EOS (eosio).

How much demand do you think there would be for a Chris Coney Crypton collectible?

I just know that’s a golden invite to the trolls but I’ve said it anyway.

I don’t get anything by them creating a Crypton of me. I would have to buy myself and then sell it to someone else playing by the normal rules of the game.

Why isn’t this on the official website?

I like the idea because they are targeting the innovators and early adopters of crypto by making it crypto themed.

That’s smart from a business standpoint.

However they are still taking a risk that Ethereum is going to increase it’s network capacity in time for their game taking off.

The game is 42% developed according to the progress meter on their website but I don’t know how long it took to get there from zero.

If I knew that, I’d be able to predict roughly when the game is going to be ready. Then we’d be able to assess if we think Ethereum will scale up to the next level by then.

You know, I’d rather have them build on EOS but I also understand that EOS is not perfect and comes with tradeoffs of it’s own, which some people can’t stomach and I appreciate that.

And speaking of EOS… it’s been 3 weeks since I featured EOS directly so here’s a nice tool I came across…

I don’t think this tool is brand brand new, it’s just had an EOS section added to it recently.

This is exactly the kind of tool that I asked for on the show a few weeks ago.

Notice the types of apps that are being used, games and gambling.

For me this has to be phase 1 of the dapp revolution. You’ve gotta provide apps that large groups of people want to use.

Yes publishing platforms, yes supply chain management, but we always go back to the same fact…

The infrastructure for the Internet evolved in response to the heavy load placed on it by the consumption of porn.

Same principle applies here. People want to play provably fair blockchain games and people want to gamble. So I’m more than happy for these apps to put EOS through its paces and give it a chance to prove itself.

These are all the stats I’d want to know…
