Famous Diarist’s Birthday! Alice Walker
Celebrating a legendary writer
Does she need any introduction? Nope! We all know who she is, maybe we’ve read the book The Color Purple (1982), watched the film from 1985, or even seen the most recent re-make of the movie, which I loved and shared my experience here .
What does need to be introduced is the fact that Alice Walker (9th of February 1944) is a Diarist, and a life-long one too! Today, she also turns eighty years old.
What personal diaries were published?
In 2022 Alice blessed us with an up close look at her life, from the 1960s all the way up to the early 2000’s, when she published:
