Diving deep once again. Oh, Sahil Patel, what are you doing to me?! 😊

Day five of Sahil’s rollercoaster of challenges!! It wasn’t what I expected, but a good surprise all the same.

I write about such things anyway, so why not share my experiences through poetry too. The prompt is…

Write a poem about an emotion that is complicated for you.

Thank you Sahil, I appreciate you. You’re doing an awesome job leading us day by day!

Emotions are indeed complicated and difficult at times for me. So much so, that I devoted a lot of my time to working on them.

Below is an article I wrote explaining what I learned about emotions through my own life and study of the human condition.

In my poem, I present three difficult emotions that come up a lot for me and I’m happy to examine them in this poetry.

The title of my poem is “Boring.”

The 3 emotions are:

So here goes, let's dive in…

Boring

This is boring!
I don’t want any more of this
Is there anything better
than the same old repetitiveness?

It’s all so useless,
even ridiculous!
This cloning
that’s going on

What’s wrong with everyone’s thinking?
They’re more like clowns
than clones
if you want my opinion!

But, sure
who wants my opinion
anyhow?
I don’t know anything!

“She can’t just damn
fit in
and keep her nose out.”

“She always has something
to say about everyone
and their way.”

It’s true,
I do!
I can’t see why
they all go along with this?

To me,
it’s utter foolishness
that only leads to
helplessness and
powerlessness

I wish people would open their eyes
and see their uniqueness
and giftedness

It’s all nonsense to me
and
I’m bored with it!

Thank you for reading!
