Hughes was a starting guard at Rutland Middle School this season. He is a superior on ball defender that gives opposing ball handlers nightmares. Hughes uses his low center of gravity and quickness to continually harass the opposition. Additionally, he is entering his third (original member) summer with the Macon United Elite AAU Boys Basketball program and will be heavily relied upon to be the defensive stopper for the team this summer.

NOTABLE: Hughes was awarded with this year’s “Hustle Award” at Rutland Middle School — recognizing him for his relentless & tenacious effort on the court.
