1. Japan, Japan 🇯🇵
2. First of all Japan has amazing food, I love sushi and ramen. Second of all they have a small but growing startup community there that I find super interesting. As a bonus, everything in Japan is super lol, and since the internet is pretty decent it just works. I even found lots of great and inspiring cafes to work from.
3. My top tip for productive remote work is to spend 5 minutes every day to plan your next day. To plan as you go is not a productive remote work strategy. It’s like going hungry to the supermarket! You’ll probably waste loads of time finding good spots, and spend too much money on pricey food and coffee 💸 Nobody wants that!

1. Førde, Norway 🇳🇴
2. Førde is beautiful, close to nature and in the middle of the beautiful mountains. I can easily work productively for a whole day and then afterwards enjoy a hike while enjoying the fantastic view in the picture below ⬇️.
3. My top tip is to be active on Slack with your colleagues and to jump into an appear.in room instead of wasting time on typing. Always make sure to sit in a good working environment with few distractions. Plan your food and make sure you have access to healthy snacks and coffee.

1. La Mas Bonita, Valencia, Spain 🇪🇸
2. The café “La Mas Bonita” is not only located in the two most vibrant areas of Valencia with acceptable internet, they also serve the best food and loveliest views in town as well. In my case, Spain is a favourite in general because the Mediterranean coast offers a bit of sunshine and summer while it’s still the darkest and coldest time of year in Oslo — where my home and base usually is.
3. My top tip is to make yourself a portable office by finding the right gadgets that matches your needs. Also, I strongly believe that a remote culture is possible for almost any team. It’s all about choosing the right toolkit, finding a policy and some routines — and going in 100% on it. 99 is not enough. If one person is remote, your whole team is basically remote.⠀

1. Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦
2. Cape Town is a vibrant city with everything really close to each other: the mountain, the beach and the forrest — along with plenty of co-working locations of course! I worked several days from Work & Co the last time I was there.
3. Check in to one of the many co-working spaces in South Africa and focus on actually working during the day. Surrounding myself with others who are working really helps me to focus. I think it’s also important to get away from a rectangle screen and explore and/or relax offline from time to time!

1. Meet Berlage, Amsterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱
2. Meet Berlage is a coworking space located in the heart of Amsterdam in an outstanding historical building that used to be a stock exchange. The open space on the first floor is free (with coffee included!). Their vision is to offer a space to meet new people, create connections and share your knowledge while working together. There are also meeting rooms and more formal office desks upstairs available for rent. During lunch hours they even serve a typical Dutch lunch just for 5€.
3. My top tip is to take a break every now and then! It’s very easy drown in work when your colleagues are not hanging around for a typical water cooler chat. Go grab a coffee, dare yourself to have a chat with a stranger or take a stroll down the street. You’ll feel refreshed and more productive afterwards. My favourite was an after lunch walk along the canals in Amsterdam.
