Voluntary Euthanasia Party

What is says on the box. All they want to do is pass voluntary assisted dying legislation so people have a bit more control over the way their life ends.

Most of their candidates seem to have some personal experience with family or friends who would have benefited from this legislation, so they are pretty qualified to talk on the issue.

Honestly, voluntary euthanasia has been a long time coming and a party focusing on it to try and get it passed is probably a good thing at this stage.

Policy

So the main policy is unsurprisingly legislating for voluntary assisted dying, and they go through what kind of safeguards would be put in place if they were to pass it.

They also have some brief statements on Advanced Care Directives, palliative care and medicinal cannabis, as well as explaining that they are a “moderate, progressive party” and they would support other issues as such.
