Another socialist party? You know that means more Sassy Socialist Memes:

This party is actually an amalgamation of Socialist Alliance and a bunch of other socialist groups, which you would have thought would lead to heaps of bitter infighting but apparently not here.

In saying that, some of their policy is a little to wild to really call them tolerable. And any party which leaflets at train stations is annoying enough to be trash.

Policy

Let’s be honest here — this party is actually one of the better socialist parties. They’re not calling for revolution (yet), and a lot of their stances match those of some more moderate parties.

It’s pretty standard socialist fare, calling for large-scale nationalisation of a bunch of industries, more tax on large companies and the highest earners, better treatment of refugees, and so and so on.

But hidden in the quite frankly very hard to read policy is things like “take back the wealth” and a call to “abolish ASIO and all spy agencies”, which will be a little to far for most people.

Vote for them if

You’re a slightly agreeable socialist.
