“It’s a tremendous honor. I really see it as a privilege to be able to be trusted by the people around me to make The Org a place they want to be and stay.”

Nate joined the team earlier this year as our Director of People Operations, bringing a level of organization and clarity that upleveled our employee experience. Working across our New York and Copenhagen teams, he created clear processes for feedback and growth conversations, launched new employee benefits, helped update our public salary ranges, and overall helped deliver an amazing experience for everyone at The Org from their Day 1, including our candidates.

We asked Nate what he’s most excited about in this new role as Head of P&C. “Continuing to build a great team. Continuing to make The Org the best place to work. There is no such thing as a Head of P&C without a team. People & Culture remains important to how we think about how we build The Org. The 3 of us work really well to span all of the things that make a difference for the people.”

Nate is in a unique position on the team because he is the target audience of our product as well. He witnesses front and center the importance of public org charts, especially as we fill open roles on the team. “The Org as a product plays a big role in our outreach to candidates and answers questions they have about who they are interviewing with. Having The Org lets people know more about us and determine if they want to work here.”

Formally a Brooklynite, Nate currently lives up north in Canaan, New York. He takes the train to Manhattan to be in our Soho office about 2–3 days each week. “Everything in life is about balance. I really value where I live. There’s tradeoffs– things I don’t have access to but I love being in the city. I’m more present. Commutes can be anything you want them to be and for me, they are my productive, quiet hours in the week. I use them to focus on that precious time.”

A couple of his personal favorite things about working here are autonomy and empowerment. “When you’re hired, it’s because we see in you someone who is going to grow this business. You’re trusted to make these decisions.”

Congratulations on the promotion, Nate! We’re stoked about building this team and making The Org the best place to work.
