Community
OS University as a platform needs a utility token to work and function as a decentralised career and development ledger. Therefore we decided to give as many people the opportunity to join as possible. How we did that? Well, we’ve opened up a Telegram Airdrop bounty. But we were completely amazed by the enthusiasm of the community, and surprised with all the welcome and attention we got.
The airdrop reached its goal for TWO DAYS only!
We’ve planned to grow OS University Telegram discussion by distributing 500,000 EDU tokens. The Airdrop bot crashed several times during those 2 days because we didn’t expected such a great traffic. We ended the campaign sooner than expected with 45 000 new members and 450,000 EDU tokens will be distributed right after the main token sale. We have almost 60,000 people in our telegram group now which is amazing! Connect with the OS University Telegram group now and be part of our community!
UPDATE! NEW KYC!
Since the start of the project back in Nov 2017, OS University has implemented KYC in order to follow rapidly changing international regulations. By implementing KYC, the OS University project and participants will be protected from legal risks and will provide a more stable development environment for the foundation. Sofia
OS University team celebrated the International Women Day on March 8th in the welcoming company of the betabreakfast guests. Betabreakfast is a weekly traditional meeting, where people share and discuss ideas about the projects they work on, while eating a variety of delicacies. The event is hosted by the international coworking space betahaus.

A few days later we had the great opportunity to attend important local and international event such as Computational Law + Blockchain Festival Sofia. It helped us reach out to lawyers and people from the business. We got them all familiar with the solution OS University platform provides in order to meet the requirements of the GDPR.
The way The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR in short, is formulated, we cannot store data directly on the blockchain since in GDPR terms ‘it is not erasable’. This prohibits us from using this technology to its full potential, so… come up with a great solution! In the meantime, our Project Lead, Hristian Daskalov attrended several events in London such as Crypto Investor Show 2018 and Peer Meetup for Training Providers where he joined the top 50 training providers across London. OS University helps them market their products, while providing their learners the opportunity to market themselves. We boost trust and credibility through the decentralized blockchain.
Sofia
Hristian was also a speaker at the Cloud and Blockchain Forum 2018 on March 30th. He explained the idea behind “Blockchain Beyond Cryptocurrencies — Disruptive Applications in Learning & Development”. Want to know more — read here!
