Pepo — the Official Community App for ETHLondonUK, ETHGlobal 2020, and beyond
Participants ask Vitalik questions on Pepo, Simona Pop is emcee for the London hackathon
After bringing together ETHDenver as the official community app, Pepo is now set to be the official community app of the Feb 28-March 1 ETHLondonUK hackathon — and the entire ETHGlobal 2020 hackathon series.
Pepo will also host UX workshops at all of the ETHGlobal events and judge Pepo’s technology-agnostic UX Awards.
ETHLondonUK participants are invited to join the ETHLondonUK Community on Pepo ahead of the event and pre-submit questions for Ethereum co-founders Vitalik Buterin and Joe Lubin.
Pepo’s Chief Engagement Officer Simona Pop will also be the emcee for the London hackathon.

ETHGlobal’s events this year also include ETHNYC in May, ETHSeoul in June, ETHIndia in August, a special hackathon planned for Devcon6, and ETHSF towards the end of the year.
Pepo helps bring the Ethereum Community Together
Pepo first started its collaboration with ETHGlobal late last year at ETHWaterloo and had its coming-out party as the official app for the first time at ETHDenver. In the Mile High City, Pepo debuted Pepo Communities with the likes of 1 Million Developers, Marketing DAO, Bad Crypto Podcast and now has more than two dozen communities connecting over everything from art to job searches to social impact.
Activity on Pepo in Denver increased week-over-week 300 percent with more than 10,000 on-chain transactions as more than 800,000 Pepo Coins changed hands. Pepo jumped into the top ten dapp ranking worldwide, according to the State of the Dapps. Speakers created videos to preview their talks and invite hackers to workshops, judges shared what they most wanted to see and hackers showcased the projects they teamed up to build.
ETHLondonUK, which will be the first ETHGlobal event to be held in the UK capital, describes itself as “an event bringing together some of the top minds and experts in Ethereum and ETHGlobal’s first hackathon in London City. We enable teams to make something great in only 36 hours by providing an abundance of hacking resources like mentors, sponsors, and software. Sleeping is optional, but trying to make awesome things is not.”
Pepo UX Awards — Rewarding Crypto UX Innovations, Technology Agnostic
Just as in Denver, Pepo is also offering hosting UX Workshops and judging the UX Awards in London. Pepo will provide 4000 DAI — 2000 for the best UX, 1000 for each of two runner up winners. The UX Awards are technology agnostic — any team can enter and win — as long as they focus on the six essentials of beautiful user experience.
