When you start to regularly upload data into Pointscene, you might find it more difficult to manage all your scenes. It becomes overwhelming to keep track of that many created scenes and each scene that you’ve been invited to. In an attempt to solve this issue, Pointscene has a special feature- User Dashboard. It allows you to view the details of all your scenes in one place.

To access User dashboard, go to your profile page and choose User Dashboard. In the first place, you’ll see summary statistics for all your scenes (1). From there you can check a number of scenes, how many points have been uploaded in total and the combined size of all point clouds. Select beneath whether to display only scenes created by you, scenes you’ve been invited to or both.

Below there is a section dedicated to information about each individual scene (2). You’ll find there a list of all the scenes fulfilling chosen criteria. Next to scene name there are its basic characteristics such as size, number of points, number of views, visibility setting and date of creation. The individual scenes are selected by marking boxes in All on column. Alternatively, if you want to select all scenes, click the column’s title. If there are some scenes marked, green Actions button appears in the right corner. Click it and type email addresses, if you want to invite the same users to multiple scenes at once. On the right-hand side of the page, there is a map that shows the range of uploaded point clouds. It’s worth to know that this feature works only If the point cloud has coordinate system information (if you didn’t assign coordinate system to your data yet, you can provide correct EPSG code in the scene settings Read more). By clicking on Zoom next to chosen scene, its localisation and extent will be displayed on the map. From User Dashboard page, you can view or delete the scene as well.

From now on, thanks to User Dashboard handling your multiple projects will be much easier. I’m sure you will find it useful too.
